Leak Detection Solution
RLE Distance Read Controllers
Protecting a facility from damaging leaks is an important part of any disaster mitigation plan. The RLE Distance Read Controllers pairs superior leak detection technology with an easy-to-use interface. This integration helps users quickly and efficiently establish a distance-read leak detection system that reliably protects valuable assets.
Once the unit is connected to a network, a robust web interface expands the capabilities of the unit. Use the web interface’s interactive facility mapping tool to create an interactive overlay that displays on top of an uploaded floor map image. When a leak is detected, the LD5200 displays its location on the map, making leak location quick and easy.

Leak Detection Solution
RLE Zone Controllers
The LDRA6 accommodates six inputs that can be configured for zone water detection or as remote alarm annunciators. An LDRA6 can monitor for both leaks & alarms generated by networked equipment.
As a zone leak detection solution, the LDRA6 is compatible with SeaHawk sensing cables and SeaHawk SD-Z & SD-Z1 spot detectors. This allows the LDRA6 to detect the presence of water, conductive fluids, and chemicals. When a leak is detected, the LDRA6 annunciates an alarm for the corresponding zone.
Each of the LDRA6’s six zones can accommodate up to 1,000 feet (305m) of sensing cable or one or more spot detectors. One leader cable is required for EACH ZONE of leak detection.
As a remote alarm status panel, each of the inputs can be configured to relay and annunciate alarms from equipment and sensors that provide a digital dry contact signal. Common inputs to the LDRA6 include HVAC units, power distribution devices (PDU), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and generator summary/alarm contacts.

Leak Detection Solution
There are a few predictable locations for leaks to occur. If you are checking for leaks in drip pans or floor drains, RLE’s fluid spot detectors are an ideal solution. They will identify leaks and notify the right people to take action.
RLE SD-Z1
The SD-Z1 is a single zone spot detector designed to work with zone leak detection systems including the F200, LD310, LD1000, and LDRA6.
RLE recommends using only one SD-Z1 per zone. Spot detectors are ideal for small spaces, and are the most economical way to detect fluids in confined areas, such as condensation drip pans.
RLE SD-Z
Designed to work with all of RLE’s leak detection controllers, the SD-Z spot detector can be connected to other SD-Z units or to sensing or non-sensing cable.
The SD-Z can be used with either zone or distance-read leak detection controllers. When used with a distance-read system, the SD-Z simulates 50 feet of cable – 25ft. (7.62m) from the male connector to the SD-Z, and 25ft. (7.62m) from the SD-Z to the female connector.
Spot detectors are ideal for small spaces, and are the most economical way to detect fluids in confined areas, such as condensation drip pans.
RLE SD-RO1
The SD-RO1 is a single zone spot detector with one relay output. It can be used in conjunction with any product that accepts a digital dry contact input.
Spot detectors are ideal for small spaces, and are the most economical way to detect fluids in confined areas, such as condensation drip pans.
Note: The SD-RO1 requires an isolated 24 volt power supply. RLE recommends and stocks the WA-AC-24-ST. The PSWA-DC-24 may also be used, but if a DC power supply is used the SD-RO1 will be a latching device – once an alarm is detected, the spot detector will remain in an alarm state until power is cycled to the SD-RO1. Power supplies are available for purchase separately.
RLE Conductive Fluid Sensing Cable
RLE’s conductive fluid sensing cable provides optimal protection for your facility when you don’t know exactly where fluid infiltration might occur
By running a cable around the perimeter of a room and/or in a serpentine pattern under a floor, you know whenever as little as a dropper-full of water touches that cable. RLE’s patented design assures fast response time while minimizing or eliminating false alarms due to dust, debris, or other objects on the cable.
And with over 9 million feet (2,743,200 meters) of RLE’s conductive fluid sensing cable installed world wide, you can rest easy knowing that your facility is protected by the industry standard for reliable leak detection.
RLE’s orange sensing cable (SC) reliably detects the presence of water leaks and other conductive fluids. It’s one of our hallmark products, and RLE Technologies has held the patent for this particular cable since 2000.
RLE’s conductive fluid sensing cable is:
Durable – manufactured with an abrasion-resistant polymer core, which increases strength and durability. Definitely stands up to foot traffic!
Flexible – easily bends around corners and wraps around pipes, while resisting bends and kinks.
Resists False Alarms – engineered specifically to resist contamination and constructed from non-conductive polymers to help eliminate false alarms!
Quick to Install – each end of the cable contains mating connectors – this makes it easy to install new systems and to add lengths of cable to existing systems.
Easy to Clean – when it’s visibly dirty, clean it quickly with Dawn dish soap or rubbing alcohol. No special cleaners or cleaning systems required.
Fast Drying – gently wipe the cable dry, and it’s ready to detect the next leak.
Plus – all of our sensing cables are manufactured and assembled in the USA.
With over 9 million feet of leak detection sensing cable installed in systems around the globe, you can’t beat the durability or reliability of our leak detection sensing cables.
